HEREND Rothschild Bird Dinner Plate
Measures 10½" diameter.
The Rothschild Birds Dinnerware is one of Herend’s most iconic and historic patterns. Originally created in 1860 for the Rothschild family of Europe to thank them for their patronage. The collection portrays a tale about the Baroness who lost her pearl necklace in her garden. It was only discovered after the gardener saw birds playing with it in a tree. Thus, the dinnerware features a pearl necklace in a tree surrounded by two birds and butterflies. The porcelain has a slight textural design leading up to the undulating gold rim. Hand wash recommended and not microwave safe.
Hand-made and hand-painted in Herend, Hungary.
